Slowly Improving After Round #3

Mary Jo was feeling a little less tired today but the nausea was relentless. She rested most of the day and later in the afternoon we went for a walk around the neighborhood and MJ tried to enjoy a glass of wine on the porch before turning in at about 7pm. She has an 8:30am appointment tomorrow morning at the oncologists office for her weekly Herceptin treatment. Herceptin (trastuzumab) is a monoclonal antibody that interferes with the HER2/neu receptor. It is a type of targeted cancer therapy that MJ's oncologist, Dr. Gall refers to as a smart bomb.

Hi Mary Jo!

I dont know where to begin...all i can think of is "Keep the faith and be strong". I know this will all work out. Wishing you and Kevin the best.

Kyle

PS I'm sure someone has already brought this up...the first Lance Armstrong book (It's not about the Bike: My journey back to life) is an amazing story. I think you'd love it.

Seeing you out yesterday and chatting in your yard, you looked great. Sorry you weren't feeling the best. And as you're trying to enjoy wine on the porch, neighbors are making all kinds of noise in their yard - sorry again. :( Hope hte week is a good one for you - Diane is back on Tuesday and may we can get togehter for that wine on the porch this coming weekend!

Good Morning MJ and Kevin! We have been thinking of you guys and asking Jamie how you are doing. I 100% agree with Jamie -- you look great -- radiating with hope, determination, strength, and most of all - beauty! Tom and I would love to connect with you guys the next time we are in MSP. He is going to be in the "school house" studying for the A330 starting in November so hopefully, we can connect then. The 747-200 will sunset it's last flight around December 15th.

Thank you for creating this blog MJ and Kevin --

Miss you both!

Love,
Cat and Tom
