Ready For Some Good News

You probably already know this but we have an doctor appointment at 3:30pm today with MJ’s Oncologist today. He is going to review and explain the results of the genetic test MJ did last week. She sadly tested positive for the cancer gene, BRCA 2. MJ underwent a PET scan yesterday. Similar to a CAT scan but a PET scan looks for metabolic growth. It is nuclear technology. A pathology report came in a few days ago of the fine needle aspiration biopsy of the sentinel lymph node. It also tested positive for cancer so the oncologist is going to explain the pros and cons of doing chemo before a surgery. We are due for some good news today. I will keep you posted.
