Upswing

MJ had the “big chemo” last week Monday. She spent most of last week in bed but is starting to feel like herself again today.

Second Chemo

Mary Jo and I are doing pretty well these days. MJ just had her second cycle of chemo yesterday. She handled the first round pretty well even though she did get almost every single possible negative side effect. She has a really pretty "smooth" head right now as all the her hair is gone, but she looks beautiful with or with out hair".

On the upswing

Mary Jo is doing pretty good today. She has more energy now and almost back to being Mary Jo. The first week after chemo MJ experienced the typical negative side effects that were expected but the effects diminish day by day. She had a (Herceptin) treatment on Tuesday, which is administered just like the chemo every week for the first 18 weeks and then every third week for the remaining 34 weeks, but side effects from Herceptin are minimum compared to the chemo treatments that she receives every third week in those first 18 weeks.

Double Trouble

Mary Jo is doing great recovering from the surgery. She is such a strong, upbeat person. She had her first chemo treatment on Monday and is feeling pretty good today. A little more tired than usual but that could be from her nursing me. I unfortunately (bad timing) crashed my motorcycle at the track last week (Thursday) and I am recovering from my surgery on Tuesday to repair my shoulder. What a pair me make.
